Jay, bring your ride down here. They are going 20-23 here.

What kind of Vette are you looking at? I assume Z06 from the 405 comment.

PS. I have seen a number of very low mile Z's going for 30-31.

          Well, think about it...

What car leads JD Power Initial Quality studies practically every year? What car is most typically purchased by 40+something married men looking to recapture some of their youth?

What car is by designation a drag racing muscle car? What car do you see in the "teenager dies in collision with tree while racing" article?

          Corvette and Trans Am, respectively.

I doubt with this many miles they're going for that much. Take a look at ls1tech... I'm surprised I got a bite from there.

There are all kinds of H/C LS1 f-bodies going for 13-14K...

A car dealer will always make money, and they never do a deal unless they will come out on top. Black book value is lower than blue book, because blue book is made up from current market values and what things are actually selling for. Insurance companys always use black book because thay can pay out less.(and they are the true criminals in the world) And that is what a dealer will use too. I fully support the sell privately and buy with cash even if you have to get a loan from the bank. Its always a better deal. IMO
This is a common myth...that you can get a better deal if you buy with cash. Actually dealers hate it when people buy with cash....why? Because ALOT of profit is made on the "back-end," ie. the finance dept. When they can get you back to the finance dept to talk about getting a loan then they can sell you extended warranties, drivetrain warranties, undercoating, scotchguarding, etc. When I was selling Chevy's, I had a few guys come in and buy Vettes and just plopped down a check for the full amount....pissed our finance guys right off, cause they lost a chance at a commision. Anyway, just thought I would clear that up.

I luv ya man... but with a comment like this, I gotta believe you've never been behind the wheel of a Z06.

It's on a completely different level, it's honestly unbelievable.

I love TAs too; ...have since I was a kid watching Smoky and the Bandit. However, I am ready to move on as well. The Vettes are in a whole 'nother class. I will keep the '97 and '79, but I am buying a C6 'vert as soon as I have my Cummins or Duramax truck bought and paid for. I am with you Jay. If you can get a Z06...have fun with it...not too much fun

A vette and a TA cannot be compared. Not apples and oranges....apples and lemons.

The vette is vastly superior in every way imaginable.
