That was pretty cool! We actually got some of the white stuff to stick for Christmas, but we just missed the more significant amounts of snow that everyone South of us got. Everyone to the Southeast of us got much more than we did. Some of places like Victoria, which is right along the coast, got 12"! That is super rare for South TX. Then Corpus Christi got 2-4". Think about how bad it is here when we get a foot. Everything slows down, late for work, getting stuck, have to have warning sirens tell you to get your car off the street etc... How does texas handle that mess? We're so used to it, we can be pretty efficient, they must be in a big scramble to get back to normal.
