I would be glad to give hand with anything internet. As for those of you that are running Win XP the built in fire wall will be good enough for most beginers to hack protection. It will keep most people from pinging, and getting info from your computer. One thaing to check is to make sure you are not running net bios on your machine as it gives out info to anyone (its a network protocal found under..."Start" "my network places" then on the side bar "network connections" then find the connection you use for internet and right click and goto "properties" look in the list and make sure you dont have "NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Compatible Transport Protocol" installed, most people shouldnt have it but you never know. Also make sure you have the Windows XP service pack 2 installed and the windows XP firewall turned ON. for those of you running windows other than XP buy a software firewall or a router with one installed. this especialy applys to those of you who have high speed. your not at as big of risk if you have an ISP with a dynamic IP addresses. If you want to get really serious into security PM me and ill give anyone some more info. As for Kevin, I have been on a few boards where ther really is no supervision and you get people with multiple users who cause S(*# with everyone. I really like the easy going attitude and respect given to everyone on this board. I was a regular at thirdgen.org, But I must say many people there are so nasty that I only go there if I have to.
