How fast are those SRT-4 0-60? I personally don't see why people love those and other four banger cars that are fast but just look like your average Neon or Subaru.

Look at the S2000, NA 4 cylinder. It's numbers are just as good. Nowhere is it written that bigger is better when it comes to engines. It's all about the technology around the motor.

I look at it like this. A neon, is a neon, is a neon, is a neon... You could beat a z06 at the track, but at the end of the day...

      You still own a neon.

No they aren't. The F20C doesn't make anywhere NEAR the torque that the Evo motor makes. It makes its peak HP at 9000 RPMs, because its variable valve timing opens up the hot cam to rev the piss out of the little four banger. It makes something like 150 ft-lbs.

For the same reason that the high price sports car owners say that about the f-body. Two words: Price Range. If price were no object, we would all be driving mega dollar, pin you eyeballs back into your head machinery that handles like it was on rails with every creature comfort added to make it the most comfortable and fastest mode of transportation on the planet. Everyone has a price range of what they can afford, some choose a new econobox with a warranty because if it breaks, they can't afford to fix it as well as make payments. It's all simple economics. I love my f-bodies, but if price were no object you can bet I would be driving something more exotic. A McLaren F-1 would be just cozy in my garage.

            I'm talking 0-60 and 1/4 mile numbers.

OK, but the S2000 is a full second slower than the Evo in the quarter... and due to the Evo's AWD, and the S2000's total lack of torque... it gets beat even worse 0-60.
