Hello everyone, I hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year.
My car seems to be making a rythmic knocking noise and a metallic rubbing/grinding noise when the brakes are applied and at low speeds, the noise doesn't manifest at normal driving speeds.
I have changed the rear brake pads and the car had an MOT(government safety check)not long ago so I doubt it's the bearings.
It did happen a while ago and dissapeared when I changed the pads, but it has since returned.
The car has only covered 49,000 miles although was run in the Gumball3000.
I appreciate it's impossible to diagnose without hearing it for yourself, but any ideas would be appreciated.
Thank you

so since the rear diff needs to be changed and the ring gear is bolted to it, its only a about 30 more mins of time to change the gears to a ratio of your choice. make sure you get a decent set of gears, a decent diff, and a master install kit, along with outter axle bearings and seals. might as well do the whole thing and only have it apart once.
