I'm 23 with no accidents or tickets on my record and the absolute best I could get was $235 a month, and that is on a '97!!!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up and totally worn out, loudly proclaiming......WOW WHAT A RIDE!!!

Using the words "outta", "nutz", and "brudda" makes you sound like a 16 year old ricer (nahhhhs) instead of a 20 year old F-body owner, not to mention that horrible representation of the firebird (opinion or not). Grow Up.

Let's ignore, for just a moment, the fact that your post had no bearing on what is going on in this thread whatsoever. Are you insinuating that anybody that uses the word "outta" or "nutz" is a ricer? Give me a break man, it's my forum talk, I like to keep it relaxed. You want to pretend like you're typing up a term paper everytime you post that's your business, I could care less.

I didn't know there was a certain way that 20 year old F-body owners were supposed to talk, thanks for letting me know. Why are you even saying anything to me? Where did you come from? You want to hold Kevin's hand, that's fine, just don't get an attitude with me for no reason. I don't have a problem with you, don't start things.

Firebirds are beautiful, I love them. Basically what I said is "I like Camaro's better, this is why." I'm not trying to offend people that own Firebirds.

You and Kevin want to make a big deal out of what I said, blow it out of proportion, and be the torch carrier for all Firebird owners, that's fine. I could really care less. Nobody likes drama, leave it at home.

I'm with alen, no need for drama.

Anyway, IMO, I would get the black z28. It has a manual trans and less miles, no consideration! Camaro's are so much nicer looking than Firebirds, it's sic. Firebirds are too gaudy, like all pontiacs. Femenine looking too, all curvey. Get the raro
pontiacs are gaudy no way IMHO if i saw a 2000 pontiac in my rear mirror i would first wet my pants them move over and give it the room it so righty deserves chuckle just my 2$ but then i was brought up watching smokey and the bandit and knightrider

How much you wana bet on that ??? I have paid my insurance bill in full every month since i got my car. I was 17 then (turned 18 in feb 04, 19 soon woo hoo). 399.90 a month out of my pocket, plus gas, the usual car expenses, and my cell phone. I work 5-6 days a week on average geting somewhere around 30 hrs, at 4.50 plus tips at a car wash freezing my rear end off. i do all that and im a full time college student / college athlete. Its not exactly the greatest way to spend my time since the few hours i have free a day are in the same chair im at now doing h.w. and browsing the web. I dont know what his situation is but SOME of us can afford to do it.

                      200 for car payment
                      300 for insurance
                      120 for gas

that's about 700. i dont know how many 17 year olds in hs can flip that bill alone, especially when they can only work 18 hours /week, with co op about 25 or so (if he still goes to high school).

Also, you can't even apply for a loan when you're 17.

I work at a car wash too, how's business for you? It's killing me, the weather is terrible this year. working like 15-20 hours a week out of a sched. 37. I'm also full time at school. I like to stay busy.

I dont know of anybody who could afford a 10K car being 17. There is too much to it. And what kind of condition was your car in that it cost 10K for a 95?
