"Must mod my car" syndrome?

I seriously have a problem. I can't leave well enough alone. I get a car, and I have to modify it. I'll get all caught up in my bills, and I still feel in debt because of all the things I want to buy. I always have this $1000 figure in my head for this, or 2K for that etc... It's constant. I always feel like I'm falling behind when I'm all caught up! I get money, it goes into the car.

I think I have a serious problem I don't think it's normal to feel stress and have this feeling of "being behind."

Anybody else like that when it comes to modding their cars?

hehe Jay, that work post of yours made me post about it. Speaking of anxiety and stress and all. I am always jumbling things around, wanting to sell my car for a motorcycle, keep the car and mod it, etc... Back and forth. Good to see I'm not alone.

Raro I would have to say that I am pretty much the exact same way. The only difference is when i get the money to mod it i usually spend it on other things I can't tell ya how many times I have thought about gettin a 4 banger and a bike to replace the T/A.

I solved that problem. We set up 3 checking accounts. 1 hers, 1 mine and 1 for the household expenses. We put the same amount in the personal accounts. I don't have to ask to buy something with money in my account. She doesn't have to ask me to spend her money either. It works great.

Yup, i have that syndrome too. The very first day i bought my car, literally on the way home, i was on my cell phone ordering my cai and a couple other things from jegs...spent about 450 dollars on her the very first day i got her

I have a list at home of my mods i plan on eventually doing to my car, i think i totaly up to about 12 grand or so

Modder's Syndrome : An anal retentive condition that prevents a person from leaving anything that is factory produced alone and working as originally designed. Patients typically will feel that a factory could have done a better job of producing a product, sparing no cost or effort in creating perfection. I've got it bad then. A friend of mine used to call me Tim Allen. I bought a boom box about 20 years ago and I put 20oz Pyle speakers in it, a 30 watt per channel amp hung off the back, and I built in a 12 volt 20 amp regulated power supply in the left speaker. I could run it off of the built in 8 D cell batteries but it would drain a new set of Duracell's in a couple of hours. Boy would it crank. I still have it and it works fine.

I have quite a few diecasts. Choppers (new and old), old school firetrucks, many various goats , 60's impalas, chevelles, who knows.

Here's the worst part though...not one F-Body!!!!
I really really really want a black 95 T/A.....not that i'm biased towards it or anything like that
