Do you need to get it smogged?

I think the best smog legal headers are the SLP 1-3/4 coated shorties, which come with a y-pipe, and run $780 to $850.

Non-smog, and for somewhat stock internal motors, Arizona Speed and Marine are really good. They run about $750 for the set. They're mid-length headers. I think Fred said they did very well on a setup up to 700-800 hp. After then, a set of longtubes were able to produce more (don't remember which brand).

Arizona Speed and Marine 1 3/4 Mid lenght headers. And if you get the Borla keep the cats cause it will sound better with it. They are the same price as the SLP's. I would also you check and see idf someone is selling a set. Bought mine used.

Your sig says you have hi-flow cats. I'd personally just pick up a set of pacesetter LT's definetly coated and have the the cats welded to the back of the headers then have a shop make you a y-pipe. If you don't need cats then you can just order the y-pipe from pacesetter for another $125. Its your decision but the LT's make more power and pacesetter will get nothing but great comments from me and I've read a lot of praise for them from other members. Also you can easily do that setup with coated headers for well under $600.

MAC midlengths with Jet Hot coating are reasonably priced and plug access is good!

buy something worth wild. go and get some Q T P's.they may cost alittle more than the rest but why spend money on stuff that not the best.plus thier stainless=last a lifetime.they have great ground clearance for your lowered car, install very easy, and all kinds of options w/ smog/air tubes/etc.they also make y pipes w/ all kinds of setups cats/no cats/dual cut outs.right now they are the best lt header on the market.a good set of headers will do you more justice than any catback!spend your money wisely!

I think he is talking about QTP headers for the LS1. I am pretty sure that QTP doesnt make headers for the LT1. But I could be wrong. AS&M and the 93-95 SLP headers have very good reps for being a great emissions header for keeping your cats.

You can get them directly from Jet Hot (if you want the coating that is).
1-800-432-3379 I believe Chris is the guy to talk to. They're around $600 with the coating.
