na... it only spins at 102 RPMs. That's 1.7 revolutions per second. You could probably focus on one spot on the drive shaft and watch it turn.

you can count the spokes on the starter wheel from a Gasplant Compressor running at 300 RPM (50,000 HP est). I am lucky to have been an oil feild welder, I got to see alot of very big compressor engines. Biggest I aver saw was a 12 cyl. with piston bores big enough for two of me to stand in. It ran on natural gas. It was cool to watch run as it ran at 250-300 RPM and you could see the push rods and rockers as they were on the exterior of the engine

How would you deliver the fuel to something like that? Carb? Fireman's hose as a fuelinjector?

When the compressed fuel ignites, it must be like a decent sized bomb going off

Actually, if it is like a normal size diesel engine. Fuel is injected after the piston has compressed the air. The fuel ignites and burns as it is being sprayed into the combustion chamber.
This says it's a two-stroke engine also. Trying to find more info on it...

                edit:yup, same as a little one...marine diesel

As sad as it is, even though that's blatently obviously sarcasm, there probably are ricers around that would think that. Just watched some of 2F2F tonight with my girlfriend. I can't believe that was passed off as a non-comedy.

You guys remember the ricers from that post about a week ago? The one's saying that domestic drivers are jealous of them because they can rev to 9,000 RPM's? lol
