  • Cam that'll make more power than Hot Cam?

I am going to get my LT4 conversion, but I want a cam that will make more power. I want a good idle, and I don't want it to sound too choppy, but I want more power than the hot cam. I don't understand the #'s associated with cam's too much. Any suggestions??

    One word, the GM847 Cam.

This cam has been known to put down numbers of 340-350 rwhp on a stock bottom end and stock headed LT1 car with 1.6rr and LTs with exhuast.

Sure seems like that cam would have a pretty rough idle, poor low-end power, and poor fuel economy...........

Sounds like it.. But I researched it, and I couldn't find where to buy it, or price it out, but it got a lot of praise. Most people said they think they could have gone bigger. No complaints about it.

The #'s are a lot bigger than the Hot cam..

Go to Comp Cam's website. Something like a 224/230 could work for you.
