I was right after some quick searching 93 is the crossover year for SFI. Having a MAF and SFI would be enough for me to want a 94. Wonder if there were any SFI MAF lt1s without the EGR valve...or was it a complete system.

Nor were T-tops available. 94 was the introduction of T-tops to the 4th Gen. Also, the GT package was only for the Trans Am and only for 94. As Tracy said, there's no CAGS on the 93 M6s. But, no EGR tube has gotta be one of the best things...no intake leak baby!!!!

I know one trick that will work and is pretty cheap for about 10-15 hp on the '93s. You can buy an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and lean out the already rich mixture a bit. The "dumb" computer (that's for you Steve lol) will not know the difference and your gain will be permanent. If you try this on a '94+, the computer will eventually adjust the injector pulse widths (or some other way to compensate), so the initial gain will be nullified, and mixture back to normal. You need to get into the PCM in order to see a permanent gain.

how can 94-95 headers be converted to be used on my 93 a-4 z-28 ? what would need to be done to use them. what needs to be changed or eliminated ? doses anyone have links to detail the mods ? there are many 94-95 headers out there be very few 93 headers. thanks for any info you can give us 93's.
1993 Z-28 A4, Flowmaster 3" single out the side,Suncoast Ram air hood,K&N filter.
The difference in the 93 headers is the location of the AIR connection and the EGR connection on the passenger side. If you have deleted the AIR and EGR systems, you should be able to use the 94/95 headers.... might want to read through the thread I linked to make sure that's correct.....

Fred's right on the headers. You could probably fab. a block-off plate for the EGR port, but the A.I.R. ports would not line up and would require some reworking of the tubes to work. It would be better to buy a set made for the 93. Of course, this is all assuming you want to utilize the stock smog systems, otherwise they will work with the A.I.R. and EGR systems deleted.
