        Well, my '98 should turn . . .

. . . 27,000 miles sometime in the next month or two.

Note to "alenstein": How many on this Forum, do you think, know who Kosciuszko was? There's a statue to him on Lafayette Square in front of the White House (and just outside my office).

"And Freedom shrieked when Kosciuszko fell!"

What an incredible epitaph for a man.
        R.i.K.

'98 WS6 TA (white, of course!), Hurst Billet/Plus shifter, BBK intake manifold, McGard “blue-ring” lug nuts (12x1.5), PowerSlot brake rotors, Hawk brake pads, Stainless steel braided brake lines, Pontiac arrow, Hotchkis strut tower brace, MBA MAF ends, Reflective Concepts lettering, MTI carbon-fiber look airbox lid . . . and one greying, somewhat eccentric owner.

I've got 126,343 miles on mine - still runs solid with the stock A4 transmission. The key is keep the drivetrain lubricated and cool and it'll last for a long time - whether you drive it hard or not. Rock On!!!

"And Freedom shrieked when Kosciuszko fell!"

A Polish General that assisted in the American Revolution. In Milwaukee he is honored on what is "Fat Tuesday" elsewhere with pasties. A very fine tradition I might add!

My 87 WS6 now has 204,000 miles, my 97 has 137,600 miles, the Deville just hit 211,000 and the Fiero has 196,000. It all in maintainance. The Deville with 211K still doesn't burn oil and gets 25 mpg. When I opened up my 97 at 120K to do headgaskets, the factory crosshatch hone was plainly visible. Properly maintained and not raced, engines are good for 250K+ miles.
