Joe's post about his neighbors in another thread prompted me to create this one. Why do neighbors have to be like this?
I live at the end of a small cul-de-sac. There are only three houses on the entire road. Our mailboxes are at the end of the road, so I only check it once or twice a day when I'm leaving. I have this one neighbor who never got along with anyone in the neighborhood except the person who used to live in my house.
Anyway - We get those stupid Bonus Dollar papers all the time. Twice a week at least. Well, he doesn't like them, so he hangs his on my mailbox everytime he gets one, even though I already grabbed mine. I used to just throw it out in my recycle bin, but it's become principle to me now. I just throw it on his mailbox and the cycle continues. Last week, he put it INSIDE my mailbox. I left a note taped to his stating he is breaking the law by opening someone elses mailbox. He responded by letting his spoiled brat 14 year old ride his quad on my lawn while I was at work.
BTW - That quad has become a point of contention with myself and the other house on the street. This kid has a custom pipe on it, and rides it up and down our road at all hours. The other neighbor called the police to see if it was illegal, but the town considers our road private, thus, it's out of their hands.
Any suggestions on what we can do? I should point out, the kid and his obnoxious Father are not at all mechanically inclined. They leave the quad under their deck. My buddy said I should go over there at night and knock the top half of the spark plug off with a hammer. I can't see myself doing that, although they are testing that theory every time I find tire marks on my lawn.
