Nothing compares to the quality of Combination's products. Callies doesn't make their own pistons but they make one of the best rods available. He's going to run out of injector pretty quick with those 60's on a T-88. Sounds like a nice setup though. Should make some nice numbers.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm That just makes me smile. I couldn't get my compression down that low using the heads I have. I'm going to see what 9:1 will bring me. If I can't get the numbers I want, I'm going to go with a different head.
Went to the dyno to mostly check the belt and made a few pulls.Tuning was just basic with 14 degree's in the torque range and 16 degree's up top.The dyno sheet is comparing the N/A to the lame 10l-11lbs of boost.The fuel injector's are already maxing out with 60lbs of fuel pressure. The Turbo isn't in the efficiency range yet as the difference of 8lbs to 10lbs was almost 100hp/100tq. The puill was done with a cold turbo so spool was slower than the other runs I did.Normally the turbo started to spool at 3000rpm and torque peaked at 4200rpm.
Someday I'll spend some more time on the roller's and really see what it can do

Forgot to mention that I didn't even open the cutout These were run through the single 3" exhaust.The cutout is in the 3.5" pipe
Also need to work on the oil system to the turbo.On decel there was smoke which seems like I might have to restrict the oil feed line since oil pressure goes to 70psi or so near redline.

The HP is 667hp. I spent very little time tuning on the street.The dyno was to just make sure the belt would stay on.While there we messed with A/F and noticed the fuel pressure stayed at 60psi all the time indicating the pump was good so far.
I was tuning to uncorrected #'s which were around 700hp720tq or so.We are just happy the car runs again By just seeing a 100hp increase going 8psi to 10psi I'm sure this car will rip when we get 14psi on the street and possibly 18-20psi on race gas
Very nice numbers! Sounds like he has an easy 900 to the tire with some tweaking and more boost, and an easy 1000+RWHP on the race gas. Nothin' like torching the rears in 3rd going down the highway!
I just cant wait to go for a ride in it - then again that car is probably scary fast
and my bud doing all the work (Slowhawk on LS1Teck) cant wait for it to be penultimately finished. I kid you not he's been through a different setup each year for the past 3 years - thus spending most of the time taking up space in the mech's personal garage
I think that is the biggest turbo I have ever seen. I wonder how much that thing lags. Seems to me a well balanced twin turbo would work out better. But who am I and what do I know? lol You don't happen to have any video of that monster going down the track do you?

wow that a2w setup is insane. PurEvl wanted to go with A2A something about it being better for the street (A2W is best for the strip) but had to custom fabricate and relocate the radiator support more forwards for the intercooler - Now that guy is a dedicated speed freak. Do you have his name? It would be interesting to see how he ended up in the standings this past season.

Big singles have the potential to make more power, but TT setups can be easier to tune and have the potential to be a little more street friendly. In a dedicated drag race car like that, there is no lag. The turbo is allowed to spool before they ever even leave the line.
all i have to say about that pic is that is the biggest turbo i've ever seen.... any one know how much power its packin? or even what its time are for the track?
Sorry I don't have the information to go with that picture, but I didn't want to bother the guys with questions because they were so busy working on the car, and to be honest with you, I can't even remember where I was when I took it.
Turned the boost up to 14.5 today on Mikes car with some nice 93 Octain.Fuel held better with the changes I made but we still need to add a second pump and a nice Carb intake someday

'm figuring 750hp/750tq for the street on pump gas.There is alot left in the midrange area on that graph because A/F was only 10.5-1 which kills the midrange.
On the dyno I'm shooting for 1000+hp for some fun but it would never hook on the street with his current setup

We are working on some efficiency stuff now which will get rid of some restrictions and give more hp per pound of boost on a lower octain(93). Also we haven't pulled any vacuum in the motor under boost.That should help on some HP

1st -1/2 throttle boost=rev limiter
2nd -1/2 throttle,boost=rev limiter
3rd- 3/4 throttle ,boost=rev limiter
4th- full throttle ,holds till about 75mph then spins=rev limiter
5th -full throttle,hooks,stuck in seat pretty good,150mph comes real quick.Feels like a 400hp car in 3nd

75lbers, dual weldon a600's in a nasty fuel tank, nasty fuel rails...Single -8 feed line. We run the -8 on our 1100rwhp race cars with no problems.
