Yeah.. Price will be a huge factor. Time will tell.
Hopefully they can price them close to the Mustang. The V6 starts at $19k. And the top of the line hardtop is $27k.
    No F-Body right now

GM generally has a worse looking concept vehicle than the actual production car.
Personally, it's not a Camaro IMO. GM has been notorious about slapping a popular name on a shell in hopes it would sell, only to kill the heritage behind the name (ex. GTO, Nova, Impala).
Unless the actual production Camaro looks better, I won't be putting one of these in my driveway anytime soon. I'd be more likely to go out and buy a challenger first.

I saw the pix on Edmunds website. I hope GM does a better job with the interior when it does come out. I think the interior they used in the GTO would be nice. It would have been real nice if they had used more design cues from that kid's drawing.

i agree completly on that interior, and i really gotta wonder about pricing... casue if its not to absurd i don't see y when 2009 rolls around i couldn't find myself talking to some chevy dealerships out here. but that all depends on what kind of prices they slap on these bad boys. anyone wonder what engine opitons this cars gonna have? is there gonna be a v-6 versions still... just thinking out loud i guess...

Hate to say this folks, but what do you really want?? You want something that looks big and muscle-y like the Dodge Charger?? Uglisest car built!!

Styling has changed, and like it or not, the sleek, kinda look all teh same style is where it's at today. I think the concept is a good cross between retro and 21st century.

Let's move forward. I rememebr how so many people complained about the new GTO, but even one of our esteemed moderators (!:>) has one and no one diss's it.

Give GM credit for working to bring the Camaro back with a big engine, and support the process. Maybe we'll actually see them on teh street in a couple years.

The Charger should have never been made into a 4-door sedan type vehicle, so I agree with ya on that point. A 2-door coupe is what it should have been. Personally, I never cared for the GTO, it looks too much like a Cobalt/Cavalier.(sorry Big Guy!)

As far as looks, I don't mind seeing a little retro styling. All of the cars today are starting to all look alike. I like the new Challenger they debut. They hit that one on the head. If the Camaro looked more like the sketch that kid in California put out there a couple years back, I'd be in line in 2009 to buy it. I bought an 05 mustang cause of what Ford did(as I never cared for the body styles from the 80's 90's and early 2000's), and if my wife will let me, I'll probably go out and buy a Challenger when they hit the market.

For me, I guess I'm old school since I'm more into the 1st and 2nd Gen F-bodies, since I own a couple. Though if I had a chance to get an 02 for a reasonable price, I'd probably jump on that too (as long as my wife say its ok).

Man, you should see all the other popular boards! It has grown out of control almost.

I agree, I think we already have more than enough "Camaro" threads.

see i think gm should have worked alot more with one of the first concepts i saw of the camaro i dont have any pics of it now im at work but the one that was designed by a 17 yr old kid or something like that ive seen it in orange w/ black stripes and i think in a dark red color(its been a while since ive looked at those pics) but i liked that design better than this is was more original to gm and it didnt look like something DC tossed into the trash bin for gm to pic it up, i'm not saying i hate the new deisgn but it needs some changes in my eyes, they need to give the new camaro its own look and not try so hard to blend in with the rest of the market, and i understand that gm was hurting for a while but they cant be scared to take a risk with a unique design that could blow the rest away instead of trying so hard to be like the rest
