Meeting my sister for the first time today

Thanks guys...... you're all like family.

After this visit from my sister, I plan on flying up to see my dad. He's had some serious health issues so my guess is that he won't be around for too much longer..... I do want to be able to see him face to face before it's too late. regardless of the issues from 40 years ago, that was then and this is now.

That's a great attitude to have. I wish there were more people in the world who think like that. I have some family on my Dad's side who won't talk to us because of something that happened between my Grandfather and my Great Uncle 20 years ago.

Of course, it had to do with money. Usually does. My Grandfather and his Brother sold a family home and were going to split the money. My Grandfather never saw a red cent because "it was held up in court". He tried letting it go, but that side won't budge. They are angry that he even asked for the money. Whatever. My Grandfather always said they'll die angry and bitter. It's too bad. Family is worth too much. More than half a delapidated house is. That's for sure.
