Nice. I would love to snag a second F-body LT-1 car. It's either going to be that or a in-need-of-minor-repair GN. I almost bought a '94 Z28 with 100k on it. The owner was asking $2,500, but he would have moved. The problem was, the interior smelled like feet. I hate feet...

A smelly interior is not to hard to fix. Just pull the carpet and run a shampoo machine over it. Then, pull the covers off the seats and gently wash them. Wipe the seat foam down with a cleaner, let it all dry and reassemble it.

I wouldnt let that stop me from buying a car!

I can vouch for that. That Blue 94 that I bought a few years back had a really crappy interior. I pulled it, cleaned it and reinstalled. You would never know how bad off it was to start.

Well.... so much for resisting doing any mods. I had to add the spare SLP cold air kit I had in storage. Technically that's still a freebie. I had gotten it in a package deal parts trade a few years ago. I never thought I would have a use for it because it was for a non MAF car and those are 93s only. On average they seem to sell for about $125 used on the net, so if you want to add that in the total, so be it. I could have left the intake stock and still completely functional. The added HP and seat of the pants feel is nice though. It is more responsive in the mid and upper rpms. It's starting to rip along nicely.

So far that's $2053 without the cold air and air foil, those parts would add about $140 for a total of $2193. My out of pocket expense is only $653.

I knew it wouldn't take you long . Just out of curiosity, how long did you have to fight with the filters to get them to go in the holes without them falling off? Also, are you gonna upgrade the intake elbow while you're at it?

Two minutes, tops. Having done it before with a few friends cars, I know the secret. I dunno about the elbow..... I don't have one already and since that will cost money, I doubt it. I'm cheap... er... thrifty.

Yes...thrifty...yes lol . You could always pick up a 1LE elbow off of eBay or something, they usually go for pretty cheap.

It would be very easy for me to fabricate a plug to replace the air silencer. I could mold it out of fiberglass and use silicone adhesive to fill any gaps. I'm sure the result would be exactly the same yet cost me only a few bucks total for materials. hmmm... that gives me an idea for my spare time.... if I had any.

Quite true. Or you could by a polished or chrome piece and add some underhood bling lol

No.... then again, with 2.73s I would guess that I would have to get it up to a pretty good speed for the vibrations to manifest itself. I've only done a few 1/8th mile blasts for tuning purposes. I should try a full ¼ mile pass this weekend.

Ahhh, for "tuning" porpuses...err, purposes lol . A 1LE shaft wouldn't be a bad idea...for tuning purposed of course lol . Btw, I'm gonna order my new chip tomorrow. I'll PM you with the details about getting the Hypertech chip tomorrow after I order it if you're still interested

Yeah, it would be interesting to play around with it. I think I'll add a cooler thermostat that I already have. It is a 170º so it should still be compatable.

Not sure if a 170 would work...most of the time they recommend a 160. But, hey, if that'll work for ya, more power to ya
