i had a terrible expirience with about 3 6btm boxes on my supercharged lt1 application. the box would FRY in traffic since it was mounted near the drivers side strut tower on the side there... now i dont know why msd claims they do not need a fused power source because i went through 3 boxes in a matter of 1 season due to the box cooking. i mean i disconnected the box from the system EVERYtime and reconnected the stock ignition and it fired right up! now it has to be an issue with either underhood temps affecting the box or the fact there is NO inline fuse to this "mystery box" because there is no way to tell if its bad or not minus hooking up the stock ignition. in my opinion dont even mess with it. youll get some scenerios like youll be driving and all of a sudden youll feel a few misfires then the car will die and wont start until you hook up the stock ignition. just to give a little heads up....
