If you want loud, get long tube headers, have electric cutouts welded in just prior to the cats and rear 02 simulators. When you want it loud, hit the cutouts and you'll wake up the dead.
ok I probaly sound like an idiot but, would my 98 LS1 sound good with headers, y pipe, no cats and acatback system or would it be better with highflow cats?
No inspection in Michigan either... a lot of people are doing it here too... BUT... it is still illegal to remove your catalytic converters, and I still face a heavy penalty if I am caught without them.

FYI the law is you can't remove a working converter even to replace it with another one whether high flow or not. This is one of the reasons cat back systems are so pupolar.
From what I hear on here is the SLP loudmouths are pretty loud. I think they have a resonator instead of a muffler.
