That's all well and good, but an LT-1 and an LS1 are going to sound completely different, The same exhaust system on those two different engines will have a different tone and volume.

Agreed. And you make no mention of how your "custom" setup is designed (pipe size, material, routing, etc.).

Not necessarily. Craig's car the adjustable Borla cat-back with the pass. tips open is just about as loud as mine with the LM.
