drop in once in a while, and thanks for all the good advise
Ken, sorry to hear you're getting out of the hobby. We first met back when this board first started. You had a small get together at your house one day for the board members and I drove my GTA down from PA. That was the first and only time I met you in person, but I feel like you're an old friend. I got out of the hobby for a few years because, like you, I had other priorities in my life at the time. Now the f-body bug has bitten me again and I'm buying a black (what else?) 97 WS6. Picking it up today in fact.
Don't be a stranger around the board, I know I could certainly use your advice on occassion. Good luck to ya!
Dave M
soon to be 97 WS6

Good luck, Its gotta be really hard parting with those Birds I'm sure in the back of your mind your kinda hoping they wouldnt
sell. I know I would be.
I know theres gotta be a reason but why couldnt you keep the other one and sell an Envoy if need be? Those things are a dime a dozen, while your Birds are rare collectors cars.
I first knew of Ken back in the SLP message board days in 95-96. I wish you good luck with your new hobby. I've never been a dog guy, but I know many folks really do love them. I wish you happiness, Love, friendship and success.
Personally, I'd keep one of the cars. You'll need a nice toy to drive once in a while. I only drive mine on nice weekends. It is a good stress reliever.

we discussed keeping the Comp.....the Hawk must go. Mary never drives it...and it wouldnt be my choice on the 'keeper'.
trouble is.. we dont have time and cant justify the exspense of the insurance and all the rest. in my county..you pay personal property tax on cars yearly... and to insure her..for what she's worth..i had to get a "kicker" policy with another insurance agency besides out normal one which is Allstate........ no.. with mary not working anymore..and hasnt in 3 years..... we gotta do it....
hey!!!!!!!!!! i love my new Envoy.........wanna run it? bwwahahahahahahaha
Wow I'm surprised your leaving so soon after I met you here. I'm glad you were able to sell. Good luck to you, the Wolf Dog Rescue and your family. This forum is a blessing to novices like myself getting valuable advice from the experienced and senior guys around. I especially liked the things you mentioned when you were in the service. Please drop in often and check things out. Take care.

I just wanted to take the time and tell you a few things. First and foremost, congratulations on selling your car. I know as happy as you're to finally unload it, deep inside it's killing you! I honest to GOD still miss my 94Z28... I keep in touch with the guy who bought it actually. However, I love my 2004 Subaru Imprezza WRX STI (being 22 my insurance is killing me), but I'll never forget the power and the rush of my Z28. At least you were fortunate enough to drive such a badazz ride! I'd love to have your Comp, Awesome car! Heck, I'd love to have ya detail my car once..... I noticed in one of your replies, you said that you would NEVER buy red or black.. Why is this? too hard to keep clean? I love silver? Why is it that surface scratches don't show in silver? What is the BEST color to get if you DON'T want surface scratches to show up? Well again my friend, thank you for all of your years of expert and quick advice with detailing and car tips! I really appreciate it! You've been a great asset to this forum, and I'm sure you will be greatly missed, not only by me, but everyone else. Yea you'll still stop in from time to time, but I'm sure at the events everyone will take a minute or two to look for you and you not be there Ah well though bro, thats life.. You have to do waht you have to do. You're a smart guy, and I wish you and Mary the best! Keep in touch!

I don't post much here, but I check in every day. I have always loved your cars. So glad that you finally sold the Comp. I know it has to be hard to part with it. I know someday I will sell the TA and I told my husband that he will have to handle it cos I won't be able to deal with it. Good luck with the Wolfdog Rescue. I love animals so much and really respect what you and Mary do. The pics that you have posted of your animals are great.
