I have a 2001 LS1 T/A, automatic for everyday use, what would be the better gear for my ride? I do about 20 high way miles a day seven days a week! Thanks for all the input!

Wolfman will tell you that he threw 4.10s in back and didn't see much of a decrease in gas mileage, so long as you don't drive like a lunatic.

4.10 with a manual. I wouldnt want to go higher than a 3.73 with the automatic - the overdrive isnt as nice as on the T56 in 6th gear.

Hmm... if you were on the West Side of the state, I would have recommended Speed, Inc. in Schaumburg, Illinois... if you don't mind a five hour drive I still recommend them. I did a lot of looking around before I went to Chicago to get my work done... there was no specialized LS1 tuner in the Detroit area -- I was shocked. Livernois Speed is probably your best bet if you don't want to drive to Chicago, they do LS1s... but they are Mustang guys first.

There is a new LS1 tuner open in Clio (near Flint) now, but I am yet to hear a single good thing about them.
