I was just looking today for a 4.10 gear. I want that for my 97 z28 w/6 speed. Where can I get one? I can do the work myself, I just couldn't find one for sale online.

Well, the more gear you have, the faster the motor will turn the rear tires is the easiest way I can explain it. The motor turns the rear tires faster with a 4.10 gear than with a 3.42. Keep in mind that you can put too much gear under your car. I have a 4.10 in my 6-speed Z and it really woke the car up. It did not affect the driveability of the car at all due to the 6th gear overdrive in the t56. You will start to lose top speed once you pass a certain point in gear ratio's but the acceleration will continue to improve. I hope this explanation is of some help to someone. Good luck....Comment
