        more info..and a nice surprise

we got all the arrangements done for Kenny. his service will be held in Franklin at the babtist church there, we did that for him......his friends. it means driving a ways for us and my family...but kenny's friends are important to him.... they were his life. and i found out this girl is quite fond of him..and she will be out of the hospitial by next sat. the folks there dont have much money..so a long drive and possible overnight stay is out of the question. His ashes will arrive at our home on tuesday. we will be bringing his dog back with us next sat. and stopping in King George to place him in his foster home. that way we dont have to make two trips down there.

time for alittle peace for us........

today, i spend sitting the back yard with our animals.....then went to the gym for 2 hrs this afternoon...... hardest workout ive done.... my mind had trouble focusing..... but i got it done.

had a nice surprise on the way home...a black ford expidition passed me towing a car trailer with a Cobra on it... had decals from sponsors on the car...skinnies on the front..nice big slicks on the rear....VA tag: STOCKER..... shaaaaazamm...... i know this guy....it was Bob Cosby. now..many of you dont remember bob...but bob is a famous mustang dude...awesome drag racer,,and awesome person. he went to Gathering 1 and Gathering 2 with us in Atlanta. a really fine individual. A naval officer also. i floored the Envoy and zoomed up beside him...and started blowing the horn... he looked over...and almost swerved in the other lane, LOL... we were both pretty excited......its been almost 5 years.

we took the next exit and chatted for a while. he had to get back on the road. headed for columbus ohio for a big race. he's won 1st place in the stock class for his car the last 2 years. big tittles.

jimbo....Bob said to give ya big hug dude....... we sure had some good time together..... he asked me if you were still in Fla.... i said......"your'e kiddin.....that mans got palm trees growing outta his a$$......."

God gave me some smiles today...... and some reasurance...for that im thankful.

        today at home:

cant help but think with this first pic "Nobody takes my broh's stick....kapish!!!!!!" a wolfdog and a golden ........

my animals know something is wrong. my wolfdog is clinging to me and watching me like a hawk ....no pun intended......

I can't describe the hurt that mary and i feel. losing my Mom.....losing Nikona.... was terrible.... but this is like somebody trying to pull your heart out.

thanks to all for the support.

You know what is absolutely awesome.............the fact that Ken (wolfman) is able to somehow manage to allow the God-given chance at a few smiles today to momentarily take his mind off of the apparent situation and then share those smiles with all of us!

I tip my hat to you my friend! You are a pillar.

P.S.........there is a reason why everyone respects you Ken.

Our prayers are still with you.

              Ken,

I'm a little late posting in this thread, I guess I just wanted to think about what I could say before I said anything...

... I lost my dad when I was 19... that was too young for someone to lose their father. The best advice I have ever received in my life was when someone I didn't know told me that "if you are trying to 'get over' this, you aren't going to be successful. Some tragedies we never 'get over'. But what we do learn is how to live WITH it." Life will be different, but we will adjust. It is so true that what doesn't kill us can only make us stronger...

... if I can help you out in coping with this in anyway, don't hesitate to shoot me a PM. You and Yours are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless.

thats good advice jay. its one of my favorite sayings..and i use it all the time:

"you never get over it......you just learn to live with it."

                i march by that ......

                regards
