Man, I just read some of the headlines and articles in the papers around here... we are getting WAY too cocky and ahead of ourselves. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Pistons lose game 5 now, ...

Two in a row in 88 and 89. If you are an LA fan, you may remember 88... the "Bad Boys" swept Magic's Lakers in 4 straight games. In 89 they beat Portland in either 5 or 6.

With the Red Wings dominating the NHL for the last ten years, as well as Michigan's football and hockey national championships and Michigan State's basketball national championship, Detroit sports fans have enjoyed plenty of success in the last decade... if only the Lions and Tigers could get squared away.

No NBA team in history has come back to win from being down 3-1 in the Finals. And, with the way Detroit has been laying the smack down on defense, it looks very unlikely that LA will recover.

Game 5 will be good though.

                    My 2 Cents

Although I am a huge Bucks fan, and a fan of any east team in the finals, I really hope Detroit wins. Now, you can't fault the Lakers because of a lack of talent. That is like a Dream Team of players. The proble lies in their chemestry. Look at the Washington Redskins a few yearsback. Dan Snyder thought he could buy a superbowl. Think again.

The problem with L.A is that the starting 5 are not a group of guys that can play well together. They are all looking to score 20+ per game.

The L.A ran the triangle the way they are supposed to and let Shaq get double teams and triple teamed to open up Kobe and Gary, they would have swept the Pistons easily.

How can L.A expect to win when Shaq is only touching the ball 50% of what he did in the regular season? (the exception was te other night of course)

I don't think it helps that Malone is hurt. I think he is doing more damage starting. They be better off having Karl sit.

Again, I root for Detroit to finish it off, but the Lakers could be 10 times better than they are if they played smarter.

I know you retracted this statement, but I just couldnt resist!
