If we're all going to Union Grove, we should take I294 North all the way. Thats the usual route I take. You pass up Gurnie Mills, Great America, etc etc, and you'll see a green sign that says Great Lakes Raceway Exit. We could meet up at an oasis or something?

The Bears play the Eagles on Oct. 3. I'll be at the game.
Don't forget that the NHRA is in town also. I'm going to that on Saturday Oct. 2. The finals are on the Oct. 3. I go the day before. You get to see more cars run.

I'm sorry to say that due to a lack of participation, the track that was going to be rented has been cancelled I'm pretty sure he said it was going to be at byron dragway in rockford, so that would have been fun. But i'm trying to convince everyone i know to try and do this before winter hits. As for the mustang f-body shootout, i wanted to know if you guys from chicagoland still wanted to cruise up to wisc on the third, and if so, where would we all meet up and such. Post if anyone is still interested or has any ideas

Yeah, I'm pretty sure i know where that is. From cicero, its 290 west, then that splits off to 294 i believe, and i would just take that to woodfield. If not, i can just find out. As long as its on the way, that works for me. Yea what time should we meet up at. Its from 9am to 5pm. So do we want to get there when it starts? When i drove up there last it took like 1 1/2 hours but there was also a ton of construsction. Does anybody know exactly how to get there cuz im am horrible with directions.

I know exactly how to get there, it should only take us 30 - 45 mins. If it starts at 9, we should get together around 7:30 and leave no later than 8. Streets of Woodfield sounds good to me.
I wouldn't be surprised if everyone beats me since I'm still learing how to launch.

Also, I've never been to streets of woodfield, could one of you guys tell me like a main store or whatever that we would be meeting by. I've been to woodfield mall before, but it's been a while. Also, how much $$$ does the shootout cost.

OK cool. Streets it is then. Well we could just meet on the top of the parking garage. That is where i normally go when i cruise with people. Or there is galyans on the sould side of streets of woodfield. I like the parking garage better cuz my car sounds mean when driving in it. And 730 sounds good ill for sure be there. And the last time i was at the track waslike 1.5 years ago and it was like 16 or 18 bucks to get in. I would suggest putting like about a 3/4 to a full tank of gas in cuz its like 50 or 60 miles to the track and then racing and by then u wont have alot but just enoguuh to make it to the nearest gas station on the way back. They have gas at the track but its really expensive ive been told.
