  • whats with all the pirate language?

    i cant believe all the "[edit]" things i am seeing, every one of these (except this one) are from some one wearing or typing un appropriate language. common guys, this is a clean site, always has been and i hope it always will be. quite frankly i vote that we ban any one who hase more than 2 language edits. whos with me?

    I vote for a language filter. A language filter would clean everything up.

        i dont think we need a language filter, i think it is fine the way it is, honor system. the last thing we need is for some new system to take the thought out of posting. i dont have the cleanest mouth, but i have always loved posting here because i can read posts that arent filled with trash language.

          I honeslty couldn't give a flying #$%# about it, but I respect the forum's policy to not allow it. I think we're overreacting a bit by turning it into a poll here............

            i also think that questionable topics are fine, as long as people think about there replys to the post. its really not that hard to keep track of what is being posted.

                i couldnt agree more with you on part of that, it is about respect, if i wanted to read trash talking posts id go to a different forum. i just find when the quality of language goes away so does the quality of the members.

                    I also personaly dont give a flying *#@! about the language , but this isnt my site and, when in rome....
                    I feel that if you cant read the rules then you get what you deserve.

                      The rules are quite clear ..I enjoy being able to come to a well manitained and reasonable site (Both in content and language) My thought is if you dont like the rules then dont be here. No one forces anyone to post here

                        The strictness of this board is the reason I stayed around so long. It's also nice to be able to have my 7 year old son watching over my shoulder as he learns about cars. That is what makes this place so special. I also feel that each case is unique and should be dealth with as such. In the end if the violater continues........it's:

                            Rules are rules they are there for a reason! besides its not like speeking and it slips out, you have to actually type it out that means thinking about it plus you can change any misshaps before you send.I say 2 time rule is more than forgiving. I too have a son who reads with me and I like knowing he isnt reading or seeing something nonappropriate
