well count me odd man out but what a huge disappointment and what a stupid looking car. Once again GM tries to get out front ..regain its lost position by following....

that piece of junk made to look like the PT cruiser... that muscle bound non looking muscle car called the GTO and now they want to make that piece of styling junk and call it a Camaro. The can evolve the Vette to look new and fresh and progressive but still keep its heritage...

What do we get .. an also ran to follow the rest ... hemi this ...charger that .... retro mudstand that ..
97 TA, M6, JBA ceramic coated headers, Borla Cat-back exhaust, 1.6 RR, 160 Thermo, LT4 knock sensor, CAI, Bils, Hotchkis all around, GT rotors, B&M shifter, Magnecor wires, Granatelli MAF
In the shop LT4 Intake and heads.

A new look into the past....

This is an interesting design and looks much better than a mustang. The engine alone will put mustangs in their place....at the end. Hope all goes well and becomes a reality. Wheel size may change for U.S. fuel economy reasons.
      1988 5.0 TBI Camaro 700R4 Transmission
2000 3.8 SFI Camaro 4L60E Transmission, K&N Air Filter, and Drill/Slotted Rotors all around.

I also agree! That is one Fugly looking car! Like wolfman said, "it's right off of Chrystlers design table." Looks more like a Crossfire than a Camaro. So far, Im very dissapointed from a design standpoint! If it is released, I think history will repeat itself with the Rustang selling four times as much as the Camaro. I know most of this was due to marketing, or lack there of, for the Camaro, but I cannot see this car taking off.

I haven't researched it, but I believe him because I have seen the exact same Chargers sitting in all the same places at various stealerships.

I'm sure with all the negative feedback GM will get over this prototype, they will be surely be commanding some serious re-thunk designing anyway.
They sell like crazy here...lucky to find one on the lot. I just saw an SRT-8 today...best looking car I have seen in a very long time.

I may be in the minority, but this car is the best looking Camaro I have seen since 1969...well, the 1970 split bumper. I think it is much much better looking then the 4th gen Camaro. I am not crazy about the front grill. However, I think it is a day late and doller short. It is very unlikely that I will be in the market to buy one.

What about this? I did a rough and quick chop and customized the grille and removed the baffles in the ram air duct:

Looks like a Crossfire, Charger, Cadillac wannabe spaceship. Maybe if they would make some changes it wouldn't be so bad to look at.

I like the sides and the touch of 1969. But not the front and rear. dodge's challenger looks much much better.

I know many will disagree, but I really like the 2006 Mustang Pony edition styling. I like these cars with the retro styling but yet with a modern flair, but I really am not much into the futuristic spaceship-like designs. That is why a lot of new cars don't excite me. I still love to look at my 2001 Camaro when I park in parking lots.

i dunno guys i just really like the car. yes its a retro styling like the others are doing but the challenger, and mustang still were so different car that just becasue there the same style doesn't mean that they're just following. if i paint a portrait then does that mean im copying the mona lisa? no it just means they're of the same style but still two complet different things. i dunno guys i just think that this car may be GM finaly pulling it collective head out of its collective a**

I could go either way, I've seen worse but I think they can do better, my concern is price, Let us not forget the cars we have been talking about became popular in the past as the "Poor Mans Corvette". If these things are going to start at 25,000 with a six banger and end up at 40k to 48k with all the bells and whistles, I'm sorry, at that price I'm into a used Vette. To me this is one of the biggest mistakes most of the manufactures are making right now. There are some nice cars out there, but Tooooo expensive.
I might give you 23K for a loaded SSR. Oh well we'll see if they build her and what the price is. My guess is we will be surprised at how expensive they will be.
