I support the ability to own guns but I think that alone is not a cause for a "SAD" day in the US. Thats a pretty poorly constructed statement. We have bigger issues that need attention.

He is your President, same as the piece of sh!t Bush has been my president for the past 7 1/2 years. In fact, you can thank Bush for making Obama President. If he hadn't run this country into the ground and stomped on it, then tore up the Constitution and used it to wipe his a$$, Obama never would have been elected.

And what makes this a sad day for the country? Obama's message of hope and unity? His plan for middle class tax cuts? The prospect of a 5 year, pointless war ending? The protection of the environment? The improvement of America's standing in the world? Which of those are you against? And don't tell me it's because Obama is a terrorist-loving Muslim. Someone has been listening to too much Hannity.

I'm not thrilled at the prospect of a government completely controlled by Democrats; I believe a President needs to have some push back, but it will be interesting to see what can be accomplished. Cheer up, if things go bad, at least you can blame the Democrats. Of course, you'll have to give them their due if they make it work....

Congratulations to Barack Obama. This is truly a changing point in the history of the United States. Time will tell if that change is good or bad. I think this change is so big that it should be honored by changing the name of the country to represent the direction the people want it to change into. I can think of nothing more appropriate than the USSA. United Socialists States of America. Hey it's what the people want. Democracy at it's finest. Rule by popular majority and the popular majority want to change more to a country where the government does everything for you right down to your health care, paying your mortgage and putting gas in your car. What a country! This is going to be fun! Boy this should give me all kinds of money left over to mod my car. I think I'll bore and stroke the engine to 427. Oh wait, where can I get gas for it. While you might dislike the person or their policies he is your president. I will support him when he does good and I will not when he does something bad just like I did President Bush AND President Clinton. That is what it means to be a citizen of the United States.
