I know many of you said that WOT is sick, and I can't wait to hear it, but how does it sound at idle? I've been to a few sound clip sites, but I'm sure they don't do it justice. Does it sound quite a bit louder than stock at idle or low throttle?
At idle, it just has a nice low rumble. The second you touch that throttle though, it immediately starts to get decently louder. I love it though. It's never annoying to me...it just sounds so sick. If I had more mods (headers, cam, heads, etc...) done, than I probably would swap it out for a more of a "whoosh" sound.....but for now the rumble does it job nicely

Oh yeah....and in case you didn't know.....WOT is still sick

Thanks... I almost forgot to ask how WOT sounded.

That's good to hear about the idle. I was hoping for a rumble like the stock exhaust, but louder.

It should be here sometime this week. If the weather holds up, probably Friday or Saturday. I may take the day off Friday and put it on in the morning, then cruise the rest of the day. I'll find a nice stretch of road, then go WOT. I hear that sounds pretty sick.

Its noticably louder, but its not obnoxious. She'll grumble nicely, a for you to open her up once again . You'll also get a nice growl when downshifting...kinda like she doesn't wanna slow down lol

If you want the real loudmouth (briefly of course ), then drive your ride around with open manifolds for a bit after you take your exhaust off. Once you hit 2 grand, everything inside the car is pretty much vibrating like crazy.

I remember when I was doing my exhaust a couple months ago, it got held up a day due to the fact that my 2 bolts that go in to my cat were seized. I couldn't get the use of a torch until the following day. I remember my friend looking at me (and with disbelief) said, "we won't be able to finish this until tomorrow." I looked back and grinned. His reply was "Most people would be upset that they didn't finish their exhaust, where as you on the other hand, are happy cuz you get to drive around with open exhaust"

                It was so loud.....

None the less, the loudmouth does just fine for the daily driving purposes

I'll definitely fire it up once during the install... So I guess the neighbors hating me will be pushed up to Saturday. Oh well. I'm flexible. I really don't care, though. The neighbor's 14 year old kid has a Honda 400ex quad with a cherry bomb. It sounds like a louder, more annoying ricer.... If that's even possible.

I have another install question. I'm going to use a sawzall around the rear end. If I need a sawzall to get the old pipe off, how difficult will it be to install the LM in that area?

Its easy. The orig. I-pipe is one piece, the LM I-pipe is 2 pieces. Take a look...

The piece with the split is the tail-section of the I-pipe. The small, bent piece of pipe connects to the tail-section and the resonator. The small, straight piece connects between the resonator and Y-pipe, thus completing the I-pipe. Piece of cake...mmmmmmmm, caaaake lol

It's real easy...just have the confidence and the mind set that you can do it.

I had my car on 2 jackstands in the back and that was definitely high enough to get 'er done

Anytime man. As 95TransAm said, its pretty easy. Supporting the rear was plenty of room for me as well.

Allow me to rephrase...I don't think I stated myself too clearly.

Being that I already had the cat back off, and when I was working my progress was halted due to a couple seized bolts, I definitely for the heck of it decided to take the y pipe off as well.....just for kicks

Like I said, how could I resist. I had just heard what it sounded like through the cat, I had to know what open manifolds sounded like Took 'em off, started her up, and felt my chest pound......it was simply amazing

I then put the y back on, and drove her home that night without a catback.....which was pretty amazing as well

The next day the loudmouth went on, which once again, was pretty amazing
