Bring that thing my way and we'll race for cash ANY TIME YOU WANT.

I also have a hard time believing that anyone who frequently uses the word "yaws" as a plural possessive has the ability or brain power to complete a full engine swap. Good luck, G.
Uhh let me see, read up buddy.. I've engine swapped 3 vehicles already..

If it's the latter then StolenBIRD - you're going about this the wrong way. Listen to these guys. Scrap the V6. It will NEVER get to where you want it.

I took a train 350 miles to get my car, and drove it back. Just because you can't find one in the next town over doesn't mean there's no LT1's near you.
Oh yea iam a ricer.. a kids tricycle could out run your car.
350 miles isnt considered near me.. I dont just by a vehicle without a good test drive dummy

Yep. Just as I figured, a troll! A tricycle? come on.

And if you have friends all over, you have someone else test drive it. But I could understand you not having any friends.

Why do i not believe that? What was the compression ratios on those engines...9,642 to 836 to 45

In all honesty, if you actually want a quick f-body, you should listen to these people. I've been able to fix every problem i've ever had with my car without problems cuz of these guys, THEY KNOW WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT. Most of them have been there and have made the mistakes that us younger f-bod enjoyers would be making had not i asked for their advice first. Being a true mechanic/technician doesn't go on just knowledge, it also comes from years of experience, which most of these guys have. I'm learning something new every day cuz of these guys. In my honest opinion, you should find a place where many lt1 f-bodies are being sold, take a train there, drive there, whatever, and make a whole day of test driving them. If you look hard enough, you'll find what you want. I looked at around 150 different lt1's before i made my decision. Granted i live near chicago, but i drove as far as 120 miles away cuz thats where i found a deal on mine. And if i would have found something better that was twice as far, i would have made the trip. They are out there, you just have to look. In the end, you'll have more money for mods on a V8 rather than spending it all just to get a V8 into a V6 car, or trying to mod the Sh*t out of a V6 just to go 13.7 in the 1/4 if you're lucky.

why dont we just agree with everything he says. There is absolutely no point arguing anymore be casue he doesent know what he talking about and he is not willing to listen to some experts that know a lot more then him. So lets just stop wasting our time on him.

Agreed. 3.4L V6s kick ass. Especially the huge aftermarkete for them.

If you want to add power, just go to your local speed shop, tell them you want a cam and heads package, and a stroker crank for it. They are stocked up on these due to the 3.4L being so awesome and the parts being in such high demand. Don't worry about your transmission, rear end, or two-piece driveshaft... they are TOUGH and can easily handle 9,000 ft-lbs of torque. Although... that 3.4L might get pretty close to that number once it is stroked to 3.5L!!!!!!!!!!!!

                        I'm actually thinking about selling my LT1 for a 3.4 V6.

I hear those engines make insane power just by increasing the compression ratio.

I'm just wasting my time with the LT1.

Yeah, the guy's question was answered when somebody suggested nitrous. That is the quickest way to add horsepower. I think a 300 shot sounds about right.

A 300 shot would certainly put that 3.4 out of its misery!
