Here is the responce I got today now:

I am located in Prague ,Czech with the car for the moment with my job.
My price is low because I am obliged to sell the car due European Emission standards, it has US title and registration.
Shipping lasts approx 6 days, costs 1100 dollars via Air Cargo.
in order to eliminate any concerns, I will use Das Autoshippers a reputable company,
upon tracking information that I will provide you and you will see that the car is it's way to you, you will deposit the money in escrow.com account.
I prefer to use their services in order to eliminate any fraud case.
        https://www.escrow.com/solutions/escrow/index.asp ,
Like this we are both protected, after 10 days of inspection, if you accept the car, they will release the funds to me,or in case the car is not suitable for you, I will take the car back on my cost and you will be 100 % refunded,
As I will have your confirmatio! n that you have the funds available I will proceed the transaction,
I will need also your full name and address to set up the papers,
Let me know today because I have other offers and I have to make up a decision,
        thank you
        William
It really sounds like a scam, but he says he is willing to use www.escrow.com. I dont get it. I'm continuing on with it, I've requested his personal info and I'm going to transfer the funds to www.escrow.com. and set up the deal. If the car never shows up I'll simply get my money back from them.

Good luck. But I agree... It definitely sounds like a scam. Even though he is willing to use escrow.com, something just sounds off. Hopefully I'm wrong and you get a ZL1 Camaro.

What do I have to lose?

Well... if the car is not satisfactory and I want to return it I am responsible for return shipping costs, and they will not refund the money until the seller agrees he has received it back. This could result in a long legal battle.

But, if no car arrives at all, I think am safe, i get the full refund. I'll have to look into that further.

I'm kinda nervous about it still.

Yup, I asked for more pictures. I also asked that he write "For Tracy" on a piece of paper with dark marker and place it on the car in one of the photos.

                    We'll see.....

Has anyone else heard back from this guy? Usually in a scam they try to lead on several victims all at once.

I got the same e-mail. I'm not going to touch it. This is all BS. The ad said California and I was willing to fly out there and pick up the car. If this were real, the effort to bring a car into the country and get it certified for US emissions is like jumping though burning hoops with nothing but a pair of jockey shorts soaked in gasoline. This is all a big load of crap. Beware!

Yeah, Tracy. It doesn't look good. I know your money should be safe in escrow.com, but it still feels off. I'd hate to hear anyone here was burned by some scumbag scam artist.

I guess the next move is wait for pictures with your request.

For one thing, look at the ad. It states California. Strike 1.
Next an 800 number to call, it can't be reached, Stike 2.

I e-mailed him stating I wanted to hire an independant appraiser to inspect the car and that was ignored. Strike 3.
This clown stinks from all the way across the ocean.

                                I smell it too.

I'm still trying to figure out how he intends to get the cash from the escrow service without the buyer releasing it? It sounds impossible, and if that is true, what is his motivation with the scam??
                                I just don't get it.
